Sun Life Financial is working with the American Diabetes Association to help raise awareness about the importance of living a healthy style in the prevention and management of diabetes…and during American Diabetes Month, they did just that.
As the Presenting Sponsor of America Gets Cooking℠ to Stop Diabetes®, a new initiative designed to inspire people to live a more active and healthier lifestyle by empowering them to cook nutritious and delicious food, Sun Life demonstrated its support through a variety of activities. For starters, they hosted special cooking demonstrations in local communities that included celebrity chefs and athletes, sponsored an America Gets Cooking educational booth at EXPO, utilized their social media channels to promote healthy lifestyle messaging, and was the sponsor of our Matching Gift campaign in which Sun Life matched each donation up to $75,000.
To top it off, Sun Life recently selected the Association as the sole beneficiary of their upcoming employee online silent auction where all the proceeds raised will be donated to support our Camp program.
The American Diabetes Association thanks Sun Life Financial for all they do to Stop Diabetes® and helping Americans stay active and healthy.
