Throughout 2014, Walgreens has continued to support the Association in our fight to Stop Diabetes®; helping to create awareness about the disease and helping raise funds to find a cure! As a National Strategic Partner of the Association, Walgreens is focused on helping the Association:

  • Educate the public about their risk for developing type 2 diabetes.
  • Develop tools & resources to help those with diabetes better manage this disease.
  • Help raise critical funds through their fundraising efforts.

During American Diabetes Month® this November, Walgreens is conducting month long pin pad donation promotion to raise the funds that are essential to helping the diabetes community. Each time you visit your local Walgreens store and use a debit or credit card for payment—you can also make a donation that comes directly to the Association to support mission activities.

There are nearly 8,000 Walgreens locations across the United States – be sure and visit often during November.

Earlier this year in July, Walgreens launched Balance Rewards®—the first retail rewards program to reward members for making healthy choices, such as walking, running, tracking their weight, testing blood pressure and blood glucose, as well as quitting smoking.*

For every person that participates in the Balance Rewards for healthy choices™ program by way of diabetes.org/balancerewards through December 31, 2014, Walgreens will donate $1 to the American Diabetes Association, up to $50,000.Get started today by signing into your account—or registering for one—through diabetes.org/balancerewards.

In addition, as a national sponsor of Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes®, Walgreens rallied their employees in support of these events in local communities across the country.

Walgreens is working with the Association to help make a difference in our fight against diabetes and we are grateful for their support.
