Rite Aid Pharmacies raise funds to help in the fight against diabetes by selling Stop Diabetes Pin-Ups for a $1.00 donation that goes directly to support the Association. These Pin-Ups also include $7 worth of coupons to help you save money as you shop.

Rite Aid also provides a free educational booklet, "Diabetes Health Take Control", both in English and Spanish, to help you better understand diabetes while offering some everyday solutions and tools for managing you and your family's health.

In addition, Rite Aid Pharmacists support the diabetes community by sponsoring Ask the Pharmacist, part of our Ask the Expert series on diabetes.org. They also distribute diabetes educational materials in all their stores throughout the year.

CVS/pharmacy® is sponsoring American Diabetes Month® and encouraging Americans to participate in “A Day in the Life of Diabetes”. Throughout November, CVS/pharmacy will donate $1 to support the Stop Diabetes® movement, up to $25,000, for each personal image that is uploaded to the Association’s Facebook page to show what a daily life of diabetes means to them.

In addition, CVS/pharmacy will create awareness about diabetes by promoting “A Day in the Life” throughout the different departments in their stores, ensuring that customers can easily get information about ADM and become involved in the fight to stop diabetes.

Catherines®, a chain of more than 480 specialty fashion stores for plus sized women, is a proud supporter of the Stop Diabetes® movement. The company’s support includes raising funds, increasing awareness about the risks of diabetes and providing information to their employee and customer base about how to effectively manage the disease. On the fundraising side: Now through December 25th, Catherines is donating $5.00 from the sale of each specially designed “Generosity Tee” shirt to the American Diabetes Association. During November, Catherines’ customers had the opportunity to “round up” their purchase to the nearest dollar. Results from the campaign are not yet available but in 2011, the campaign raised more than $100,000 to support our outreach programs. When it comes to increasing awareness and providing information, Catherines not only included diabetes messages in their holiday promotional flyers, but they also sent a promotional email with an online coupon to approximately 620,000 customers – reinforcing awareness of American Diabetes Month.

In the company’s headquarter location of Philadelphia, more than 70 Catherines Associates laced up their sneakers and participated in the Association’s signature fundraising campaign, Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes®. The Associate’s raised more than $15,400 through the team efforts.
