On the fundraising side: Now through December 25th, Catherines is donating $5.00 from the sale of each specially designed “Generosity Tee” shirt to the American Diabetes Association. During November, Catherines’ customers had the opportunity to “round up” their purchase to the nearest dollar. Results from the campaign are not yet available but in 2011, the campaign raised more than $100,000 to support our outreach programs. When it comes to increasing awareness and providing information, Catherines not only included diabetes messages in their holiday promotional flyers, but they also sent a promotional email with an online coupon to approximately 620,000 customers – reinforcing awareness of American Diabetes Month.
