Walgreens
We are thrilled that Walgreens has joined the Association in our fight to Stop Diabetes®!
They are committed to raising funds for the American Diabetes association and will continue to raise awareness by providing diabetes education for their customers.
Taking their action to the streets, they will be supporting Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes by forming their own national walk teams! These teams will raise funds to help the Association continue its efforts to spread diabetes awareness and search for a cure for this ever-growing disease. During American Diabetes Month, Walgreens will also sell pin-ups that can be scanned in their stores across the country as part of their "Way to Well" program.
As a sponsor of the Association's "CheckUp America" initiative, a program working to help people lower their risk for type 2 diabetes and heart disease, Walgreens is always there, offering support to local communities about the risk factors of type 2 diabetes, providing educational information and encouraging the community to live a healthier lifestyle. Join Walgreens and the American Diabetes Association as we work together to Stop Diabetes!
Ginnie Crawford is a two-time USA Outdoor National Champion 100M hurdler.
Off the track she is dedicated to empowering others to learn more about diabetes awareness.

We recently met Tony Castillo, a 40-year-old teacher from Odessa, Texas, who in mere months transformed himself from self-proclaimed couch potato to "athlete in training." On July 28, he'll ride for 32 miles in the Dallas/Fort Worth Tour de Cure®, with his son by his side.
